By restricting the amount of carbon a company can emit as waste, permissions to do so obviously have great value. There is a market for these permissions so you can make vast fortunes overnight by buying cheap and selling dear. Publicity stunts like Greta's magnificent caper allow the market to be manipulated. And carbon isn't even dangerous although many scientists have been brought to believe it is. They, like you, like the carbon emissions market, are being manipulated by very clever people who just LOVE getting rich.

  3. Douglas Langley I'm not talking about green industry, I'm talking about the cap and trade carbon emissions market. Fossil fuel industries play too which is why they ain't that bothered about trade restrictions. As for carbon, the evidence to suggest it causes global warming is suspect to say the least. There are dozens of "models", guessing more or less what's happening up there.The alarmists obviously always choose the ones which paint a grimmer picture. The models used by many countries indicate far less warming and far less contribution by carbon to that warming. Some say none at all.

This is the amount you will save for each child you don't have. A vegan diet reduces your own footprint by about .8 of a tonne per year. So unless you enjoy being a vegan, or have ethical reasons for being one, then there is little point in depriving yourself of meat and other animal products. As you may have gathered I believe the climate crisis is basically a load of bollocks cooked up for purposes of financial profit and political control. PS I have several children by a number of women and I am off new to check on the shoulder of lamb roasting deliciously in the oven. Mmmmm.

The value of these permissions rises and falls according to political and economic conditions. Greta's spectacular appearance of the scene has caused these prices to fluctuate enormously, thus enabling those in the know to make vast sums overnight by buying cheaply and selling dear as prices rise. Greta's escapade was financed by George Soros, a notable master of this fiendish art.

It acts as a safety valve to help keep the atmosphere stable, The carbon-is-bad myth is being promoted by financial manipulators playing the carbon emissions market.
