  1. Of course they are being shot down. They are decoy missiles, designed to use up Ukrainian defence systems and to expose their location to attack.

  2. There is just one Patriot missile system being made available. Russian decoys will swiftly force it to use up what few missiles the US has provided and to reveal the locations of its component units so that they may be destroyed. Not much of a game changer, I'm afraid.
