Is America finally coming to its senses?

@nathanadler6991 Better than abusing the law for political purposes.

@bob-g3e3x The King or Queen of England is immune from prosecution because it is The Crown which prosecutes, and he/she obviously can't prosecute theirself.

@nathanadler6991 Better than using the law as a political weapon. The Democrats have brought this upon themselves.

@johnkitching2248 And a good thing too.

You do realise that our King is equally immune?

@deanlowdon8381 It actually makes a great deal of sense. The very fact that the Democrats have sunk to abusing the judicial system for political purposes proves that the Head of State should be immune from prosecution. In Britain only a revolution can remove the King or Queen. In America it ought to be a free and fair election, not the kind of dirty trick the Dems have been playing.

@bob-g3e3x Of course the King is immune - which is as it should be.

@deanlowdon8381 Yes it is. And for sound constitutional reasons.

@deanlowdon8381 It's more than that. The Crown represents the history of the country, and all the unwritten constitutional law accumulated for over a thousand years. The Crown prosecutes wrongdoers, so it can't very well prosecute itself. As the recent attempts by the Democrats in America clearly show, the temptation to abuse the judicial system for political purposes is always there. This is much more difficult when the Head of State is the ultimate prosecutor, and therefore immune.

@bob-g3e3x Just because you're now 13 there's no need to get sassy.
