  1. Careful what you wish for. Those who howled for the cops to be called in have dropped a right clanger. This could now go on for weeks and months. In the meantime, those on the right of the Conservative party -as well as Dominic Cummings -can go on blackmailing Boris with threats of further revelations unless he pushes the legislation they want enacted. This will be a jolly good thing. Watch out for the abandoning of the zero carbon nonsense - with the added pleasure of knowing that it was Labour do-gooders who made it possible.
