How about reporting on the excess deaths among younger people - not from covid but as a result of treatments being withdrawn due to covid hysteria?

They're having riots in Bangladesh too. The Prime minister has just resigned. Only sayin'

Footballers abasing themselves to a sinister political movement is not a good look. I was reminded of athletes doing the Nazi salute at the 1934 Olympics.
68
It's going to be hard to break people of their Ukraine addiction.
68
A true hero! What would he have done if Boris, Whitty and Hancock had dropped by for a pint??!!
65
No matter what he says, the figures for the "second wave" are full of unanswered questions and apparent anomalies. Have we been taken for a ride? We deserve to know the truth.
61
The roadmap is simple. A complete U-turn before he drives us off a cliff. Boris is good at U-turns, so there shouldn't be a problem.
51
We must escape the European Court of Human Rights immediately, and ignore its provisions until we do.
48
Naturally enough the college will now review the endowments made to it by Rhodes and other imperialists and ensure the money is returned to the third world nations from which it was stolen.
43
Starmer seems increasingly out of touch with reality.
43
They will be saying some really hurty words to that nasty Mr Putin.
39
Another blatantly misleading headline!
38
Who cares about CASES. The more the merrier. Each one is a step towards herd immunity. It's DEATHS that count. STOP PRESS: The Office of National Statistics has just released provisional death figures from all causes for July. There were 38,179 deaths registered That is 1,435 LESS than in July 2019. Deaths where Covid 19 was an UNDERLYING cause amounted to 2.6% of the total. No deaths were recorded where it was a primary cause.
29
@okaycomp You can't prevent old people from dying. It's just a habit they've got.
26
Who bloody CARES!!??? It's the number of deaths and hospitalisations that count and these are going down, down, down. Why don't you share these figures with us?
26
He's pissing beside it, not on it. What's the betting he didn't even know what it was?
22
The true numbers will never be known. There are too many political factors at play.
22
Cases,, cases -what's this obsession with CASES??!! Eventually around 80% of the population will probably test positive for Coronavirus with 99% of that 80% experiencing few if any symptoms. It's deaths and hospitalisations that are important -and they are dropping dramatically. Just eight deaths reported yesterday, along with the news that the health secretary has finally realised that the number of deaths has been vastly exaggerated due to excessively random reporting and even some deaths being reported twice. Time to dust down the climate change scare I think. This one's starting to run out of steam.
21
What do they want exactly? Does anyone know?
21
I do wish BLM could come up with something more up-to-date to justify their tantrums. The distant demise of George Floyd doesn't really hack it.
21
Deaths from ALL CAUSES continue to decline and are below the average for the past five years, This must mean that people who should have died today can't do so because they are dead already. Protect the vulnerable and the very elderly. AND LET THE REST OF US GET ON WITH OUR LIVES!
20
These figures need a good, long hard look and detailed analysis. What does "coronavirus-linked" even mean? Is there a definition?
20
This is such a total lie. All antibodies disappear in time otherwise we would be stuffed to the gills with them! They are replaced by a small number of T cells which have memorised the genetic code of the invading virus. If it reappears they multiply in huge numbers and set out to deal with new invasion. Science knows this. What it doesn't know is why so many in the media are so intent on terrifying us with falsehoods about Covid 19.
18
The proportion of deaths to "cases" is ridiculously small. As a proportion of deaths to population it is almost negligible. This is clearly not the universal plague we were warned to expect. We'll just have to go back to being scared of global warming I suppose.
18
I think we really ought to take this seriously. For some bizarre reason Britain is up to its neck in this distant war and we could well end up becoming a sacrificial victim.
17
I always knew Starmer was snivelling nonentity. Putting him next to Donald Trump just proves it.
17
What's up? Hasn't Unilever paid its BLM protection money?
17
Greta being let out of her box is a sure sign that Covid is over.
17
Utterly disgraceful. What naivety. Good job there won't be a crowd there to boo and throw things when this happens.
16
Of course he´s disappointed. Having been rejected by most of the white working class, Labour needs to keep ethnic minorities in a condition of perpetual resentment in order to have any support at all.
15
I don't go to raves and concerts as a rule - but if a band called Herd Immunity was playing I might consider it.
15
Why should he apologise for telling the truth?
14
These are just a tiny fraction of all hospitalisations and deaths. And no-one is saying if they are BECAUSE of Covid 19 or simply that people have incidentally tested positive. The plot thickens
14
If US police forces do get defunded and broken up could we hire some of them to come over and sort this lot out?
14
The ES is comparing itself to a newspaper. Trump simply DIDN'T compare himself with Churchill, did he?
13
Isn't he wearing a lovely suit? I wonder how much that cost.
13
Perhaps the unrest has stopped - or perhaps this is part of a long-term strategy to weaken opposition.
13
Just one of the very many side-effects of lockdown madness. Lockdowns have brought more death and misery to the world than Covid 19 ever could.
13
No human brain could have conceived this. It is the work of a badly-programmed computer. They must have let Professor Ferguson out of his box.
12
Obviously it was Sir Keir Starmer having another go.
12
Shot, not killed. Another great clickbait thumbnail from ES.
12
Poor, poor Harry! His upbringing has obviously left him unprepared to deal with a glib, delusional creature like this one.
11
Excitable, isn't he?
11
The legislation exists. Let us employ it to the full.
11
His choice of words may not be precise, but what he is saying is essentially correct.
11
Don't forget folks, as long as cases keep going up and deaths stay level we are getting closer to herd immunity!
11
It will evade vaccines; that is more or less certain. The virus will find away round every obstacle we put in its path - nature and evolution insist this be so. All we can hope for is that new variants, while inevitably more transmissible, will actually be less virulent.
11
Forgive them Lord, they know not what they do.
10
Harmless enough . Shame about the alleged "nursing pioneer" Mary Seacole though. She actually ran a restaurant in the Crimea, dishing out delicacies to officers. The closest she came to nursing was donating some tablecloths to be torn up for bandages.
10
That was then and this is now. Flu deaths are now outstripping Covid deaths every day and have been doing so for weeks.
