His choice of words may not be precise, but what he is saying is essentially correct.

@Erling Braut Håland He is often clumsy with words. It is true though that children are highly resistant to the disease and practically immune to death from it. Everything he said is substantially correct.. And US media stinks.

@Erling Braut Håland A hard job for a man with a limited vocabulary. Most people will have understood him though. The misuse of "immune" was qualified several times. He may have done it deliberately of course. He is a very cunning fellow in his way.

@desoliver9712 Trump has a limited vocabulary but in this instance his statements were repeated and qualified enough to make his meaning clear, I think. Children very rarely suffer severe symptoms. They don't die without a pre-existing condition and the chances of them passing the virus on to an adult seem very limited too. There was no evidence of a single case of this happening during the peak of the infection in April and those cases cited since are suspect. An adult stands a far greater chance of catching it from another adult.
