  3. Not according to gun experts who have recreated the incident. Astonishingly the tissue expands for a split second as the bullet passes through and then closes up, leaving just a small hole.

  5.  @AbsFabbs  The Brandon Herrara re-creation clearly shows the ear expanding and then reassuming something close to its original shape. Another gun guy, The Humble Marksman, used pigs ears and the bullet just left a small hole. If you cut away from the Brandon Herrara video before it ends it certainly LOOKS as though the ear was destroyed - but quite miraculously it reforms.

  7.  @alexiswinter6948  I'm no gun expert, but this Brandon Herrara guy is and he used the same rifle that Crooks used. He actually took the shot closer because it would be near impossible, using that weapon, to intentionally hit an ear at that distance. Apparently you can only guarantee getting your shot within a five inch circle.
