It's quite obvious that military support for Ukraine is drying up. This venture has cost the West many billions more than anticipated and still shows no sign of a return. Ukraine will just have to see how far false promises and grandstanding gestures will go towards protecting it from the Russian onslaught.

@Sean12248 Gestures. Turns out most of the tanks are non-operational and it will take weeks to get them up and running. Biden's visit was pure PR grandstanding.

@AlexVardr The cost is much disputed but I hardly think this can be right. In any case it hardly matters since the issue is not whether NATO can afford to continue its support, it is whether it is sensible to do so. When there was a chance of turning a profit by getting hold of the immense wealth lying beneath the ground of Donbass then the odd few billion could be seen as an investment. Now that prospect is receding and the question is whether or not it is worth throwing good money after bad.

@bryandimery6509 Food for thought, indeed. How do you feel about the prospect of the BRICS countries beating the US in a currency war? Will this take the wind out of the arms dealers' sails? Will the American taxpayer consent to upping the already massive debt in order to finance this continued militarism? Sorry to ask so many questions, but your answer set me thinking!
