@petervanwyngaard4788 It shows nothing other than that the common soldiery was given to understand it would be an easy job. Their officers and Kremlin knew exactly what they were doing. They were fully prepared to sacrifice low-grade troops and ancient equipment in the early stages of the operation.

@petervanwyngaard4788 The Russian army does tend to operate in ways that haven't altered much over the centuries. It is careless of the lives of its men in ways now unthinkable in Europe and America.
