@zeeninetynine It should be over before the year is out. You make the mistake, as so many do, of believing that Putin wants the whole of Ukraine. He doesn't. He just wants Donbass, and the border is now within reach.

@zeeninetynine All Putin ever said he wanted was Donbass and Crimea. He's got Crimea, and the way things are going he'll get the rest of Donbass before the year is out.

@zeeninetynine I doubt those parts of those regions north of the Dnieper figure largely in Russia's long term plans. That would depend upon the position it finally finds itself in following negotiations.
