As a genuine person I resent that assumption! It really is so weak for people to think that anyone who disagrees with their views is somehow employed by the Russian state to do so. It is a state of mind which goes hand in hand with my original comment.

But we are not at war with Russia.

@DH-uu5ps ... but I'm sitting in my studio in a small town in England. Can you not get the message? You are showing yourself up as a fool if you cannot accept that your pro-Ukraine viewpoint may be thoroughly misguided, and instrumental in supporting a bloody and needless war.

I understand from this that while not supporting censorship, Professor Wilson believes that outlets he suspects of purveying inaccurate information should be made difficult to access, or at least not made readily available. This is a neat get-out, enabling him to continue to feel all warm and fluffy inside while at the same time controlling the free flow of information and opinion. Journalism is a dirty trade. His experiences with RT are by no means unique. There is a current scandal in Australia, for example, where the state broadcaster ABC is accused of making Australian soldiers in Afghanistan appear to be war criminals by dubbing the sound of gunfire across footage in which the men were merely sweeping across territory with silent weapons. Ukraine is far from innocent in this regard. From the Ghost of Kiev onwards many of the stories purveyed on the media portraying the Ukrainians as heroes and the Russians as heartless villains bear the unmistakable stamp of manipulation. Zelensky owns a film company, don't forget.
