  4. Absolutely correct in many respects. The fake picture of a walrus falling off a cliff to illustrate the evils of climate change was a particularly good example of spectacle elbowing reality to one side.

  6.  @ceales3  Writers and entertainers are generally of a different temperament. I've heard it said that the fall of Rome came at a time when actors and sportsmen were especially revered - chariot drivers and celebrity chefs were widely consulted on political matters.

  7. Quite right. Democracy in the US has been a tottering invalid for decades. It is now dead, killed in November by a massive fraud carried out by people calling themselves Democrats. The irony!

  11.  @aarondavis9290  Yes they are. The walrus fell off the cliff because they were being approached by a pack of hungry polar bears. The drone cameras buzzing round their heads didn't help. Nothing whatsoever to do with climate change. Walrus always crowd onto dry land to birth so theoretically the more of it there is, the happier they are.

  12. When the system fails it leads to extremism - but not necessarily towards the right. The Russian revolution springs to mind. Trump isn't a fascist. He is a populist and a conservative who believes strongly in individual freedom. He has been subjected to a constant stream of vilification because he opposes state control, not because he wishes to strengthen it. Unfortunately the propogandists have done a great job - not enough to bet him beaten at the election though. They had to cheat to do that. Welcome to the Brave New World Order and the Great Reset. You have been conned just as thoroughly as Germans were conned by the Nazis in 1932. And he didn't even have to cheat to win HIS election.

  13. The BBC lies to push forward a political agenda Murdoch lies to make a buck or two. If you analyse his products you will see they are given considerable editorial freedom. He doesn't care all that much what they say as long as they hold their niche in the market and turn a profit.
