  1. My parents were racists. Most of my teachers were racists. It was the prevalent attitude of mind back in the '50s and early '60s. My generation fought against it and quite frankly I think we won. It's very telling that all the examples of racism in this presentation have to hark back to the past. I'm sorry, but it will take more than this to convince me that anti-racism today is actually about race as such. The left has lost the support of the working class as a whole and therefore has a vested interest in securing the support of minorities. The success of those many black and brown people who have made their mark while at the same time espousing conservative values must be galling , I know, but it exists and there are many examples of it. Examples of contemporary systemic racism, on the other hand, seem pretty thin on the ground.

  2.  @ChrisPage68  It'd be useful to have a couple of firm examples dating later than 1980 say. Do you have anything in mind?
