  1. Another mixed bowl of fruit from Rambling John. The idea that it is any way acceptable for the government to condone and support a criminal enterprise has to be dismissed out of hand. The idea that the government is using it as a "distraction" is equally ludicrous. Farage has had to drag them out of their beds to get down to Dover and face this embarrassment. I'm sure they would very much have preferred to go on pretending it wasn't happening.

  2. ​ @corvus1238  Why should I feel sorry for people who can afford to pay gangsters thousands of pounds to smuggle them half-way around the world and still have enough left over for a smartphone and a pair of £200 trainers? There are very many worthier objects of compassion in the world. Very many indeed.
