  2.  hognoxious  Well, as things stand, even if at some time in the distant future Labour gets elected to office under the present system it could well be that introducing PR will favour the Conservatives - or at least the right-wing parties which currently represent a broad swathe of public opinion. Might PR strengthen Labour's hold on power? That's doubtful.
