GB News is crap in many ways but Farage is brilliant. He is a far better journalist and interviewer than the hags and hacks on BBC and Sky. Last night we got an in depth view from one of Trump's generals outlining exactly how Biden screwed up in Afghanistan as well as a fascinating chat with Jacob Rees-Mogg over pints of the latter's own home-brewed cider. You would have loved it.

@justmythought7658 Funnily enough General Kellogg did mention how the objectives of the Afghan invasion were achieved in the first two years, but how there was little coherent focus after that.
2
It should also be mentioned that Farage gets between 100/145k views for his show, plus another 10k or so for most of his segments from it on YouTube. Not that it's a competition or anything. There's room for everyone.

@Steve_Coates No. He apparently ignored it - which led directly to the disaster. Trump's plan included various guarantees and constraints which would have meant, among other things, no withdrawal without a signed agreement between the Taliban and the Afghan government. Full military air cover was to be maintained until the withdrawal was complete. A timetable was in place. If Trump hadn't been cheated out of the Presidency US and UK troops and support would have been out of the country by May with none of the horrific scenes we are currently witnessing.

@Steve_Coates This is not the case at all. Trump obtained guarantees from Taliban leaders, as well as the Afghan government, covering how the withdrawal was to be conducted. These guarantees were backed by both carrots and sticks. The carrots were in the form of substantial cash bribes, release of Taliban prisoners and promises of places of safety for senior participants who might end up on the losing side. The sticks were the continued presence of air cover, effectively preventing substantial Taliban movement, and a promise that the US would return with a mighty force if in Trump's own words: "anything bad happens." Apart from the Afghan President fleeing in a helicopter literally crammed with cash, none if this seems to have been followed through by Biden's team. They seem to have spent the entire period of his Presidency utterly destroying this very workable strategy.

@atomiccritter6492 Not at all. Much of it is a paraphrase of General Kellogg's interview with Farage. (Apart from the bribes, but you can take that as read.) It certainly fits the facts as they have unfolded.
1
@atomiccritter6492 Why don't you check the interview yourself? His account is certainly backed by others. Even MSNBC was trapped into broadcasting the views of another negotiator who made much the same points. As I say, they certainly fit the facts. Trump, after all, has spent a lifetime negotiating with the likes of the Mafia over building contracts. He knows how these things work. Biden is just a clown an utterly out of his depth. His advisors are equally inept it appears.

BBC "News" and Sky "News" - all of them are propaganda outlets, one way or another. You can get as much factual information from GB News as anywhere else.

Farage's show actually does better than the BBC and Sky programmes put out at the same time. His viewing figures are sometimes more than both their 7pm shows combined.

Unlike you, obviously.

I would imagine that at least 15 million people share Farage's views, and possibly even more. Studies have shown that immigration is the prime subject of concern for Conservative voters.
1
A very worthy effort. Farage usually gets 100/145k views on his live slot. His interview with Jacob Rees-Mogg yesterday was almost certainly in the upper regions of that, and the YouTube version has had 30,000 hits so far.

They actually tell you a lot about the psychology of those doing the reacting, which can be useful in expanding one's judgement of their opinions and character.
1
@jameswilson-vd5qc On a more mundane level they are useful in getting to know more about people whose views and culture may be different to one's own.

Best MSM channel in the English-speaking world. The last bastion of true journalism on TV.
