@ He's trying to get a deal which will include payback for the billions already given to Ukraine. If Zelensky goes he might get it - but there's also a very strong chance he will get a better deal from Putin.

@AaronOkeanos I don't think he's actually expecting it to be agreed to! It's just the first shot. I bet once peace is reached he'll be playing Putin and whoever is in charge in Ukraine against each other to get the best deal he can.

NATO is a dead duck. There is no Russian threat to justify its existence. The threat which NATO was created to defend against was international Communism, not Russia itself. The Russian Federation has no expansionist plans whatsoever. It merely wishes to defend its existing interests. International Communism has been replaced as the major threat to Western civilisation and values. While spending billions on needless weaponry to defend against a threat which isn't there, further billions are being spent on welcoming the soldiers of this creed to our shores.
