@riveness How can separating two versions of the same crime be defined as defending paedophiles? The abuse and prostitution of young white girls by predominantly Pakistani Moslem gangs is in a different category to the abuse of children of both sexes in institutions, and by individual clergymen. It just is, and has to be dealt with differently.

Those allegations are true. It is gangs of Pakistani Moslem men who commit this particular crime, which is a separate issue to the usual run of sad kiddy fiddlers or families with a long tradition of incest. The reason they are allowed to continue is the fear of losing the Muslim vote, nothing more and nothing less.

But they aren't. If they were they would be hunted down. It's only because the grooming gangs are mostly brown and Muslim that the authorities won't act for fear of a backlash.

The previous enquiry was fraudulent. It lumped in every offence against children and of course with a population 80% white that was reflected in the final figure. The grooming gangs are a separate phenomenon, and entirely different to the usual run of sad kiddy-fiddlers. The damage they do to the young girls who fall into their clutches is only part of the issue. There are political and religious ramifications to this problem which MUST be addressed.

@riveness The inquiry found no such thing. And even if it had done it would not alter the fact that there is a political and religious motive behind the activities of the Pakistani Muslim gangs which places them in an entirely different category.

@riveness The category is not smaller, and it wouldn't matter if it was. Anyway, the report does not seek to turn the issue into a competition, as you seem to want to. The Muslim grooming gangs are in a different category to priests who abuse children, or institutions where abuse is tolerated and commonplace. It is a no better or worse category (how could it be?) but it is one which, by its very nature, needs to be treated separately. The reports chief conclusion, of course, is that the nature of these offences makes it relatively easy for them to be shoved under the carpet. The reasons for this are various, but in the case of the Muslim gangs they are transparently due to the fact that the perpetrators are, indeed, Muslim. These men are not high-profile figures. The institution which protects them has, as yet, no particular high status in the establishment. They are Muslims and the reason that more of them are not in jail is that the authorities are afraid of being accused of racism, or of losing Muslim votes in elections.

@ADifferentBias You must surely accept the difference between individual cases of child abuse and the industrial scale abuse engineered by the Pakistanis who also farm their victims out for profit?

@adam346 It is entirely fraudulent to group all cases of child abuse under one category. The sad lonely kiddy-fiddler, or the family with a long tradition of incest, have been with us since time immemorial. The political and religious aspects of the Pakistani Muslim grooming gangs make this ugly phenomenon something new and different.

The opposite. The authorities want us to LOVE Islam since it encourages compliance, and backs this up with a fear of hell, as Christianity once did.
