  9. @ The original poster stated that truth, language and democracy are under assault from the "far right". This is possibly true - but there are firm reasons for this. He is also right to worry about the influence of AI. But I believe increasingly strongly that the "far right" does not represent some fascist autocracy, but a considered reaction to a more subtle autocracy which has taken over out institutions, and which must be excised.
