  9. It would be really much simpler and much safer to do deals with Russia, don't you think? The notion of Russian expansionism is a myth designed to keep the Western military/industrial complex in business. Russia just want to be left to recover from the horrors of Communism. We should be trading, not arming ourselves like paranoiacs.

  11.  @jonb4155  The land in question has been Russian from time immemorial ( or least since the 18th century, apart from brief returns to original Turkish control). Russian is NOT expanding other than to retain control of territory mistakenly handed over to the new country of Ukraine at the time of its "Independence.".
