  4. As mad for the EU as you might well be, it is time to realise that the war in Ukraine has entirely altered the world economy in general, and the European economy in particular. The effects of Brexit will be practically swallowed up in the coming chaos. Indeed, the EU may not even survive this. Which, since it was instrumental in starting this bloody war, would be a kind of poetic justice.

What lifestyles do Lithuanians lead on the banks of the Liffey? Do Syrians wield shillelaghs while Polacks swig potcheen and Nigerians and Nubians escort the fair Coleen?
