  4.  @briancarton1804  You merely mentioned Empire, so I have scarcely proved your point. Commonwealth citizens are entitled to British passports and such benefits as this entails. As to more recent meddling, we have done so as lackeys of America, and so it is difficult to judge what level of responsibility this involves. In my view what help we give should be given grudgingly and amid much protest. This won't make us feel quite so warm and fluffy inside - but that isn't what charity should be about, is it?
