A Different Bias

Why, why WHY are you people so intent on imprisoning people you disagree with? It makes you look so COMMON!
4
It's a perfectly acceptable regional usage. (I assume the "dispicable" was a misprint?)
3
Indeed to goodness.
3
So what do you call cowards who flee their homelands and leave women and children to suffer?
3
@englishsteve1465 But the use of "learn" as synonymous with "teach" is (or was) quite common in the North of England. And I must also defend my use of "misprint". I could, of course, have said "literal" which would be a more precise printing term and although we live in a digital age, words do still appear in a semblance of printed form, do they not? And "mistake" would have implied, surely, that the poster made an error of judgement, rather than a simple digital (ha!) misdirection. Sometimes pedantry can be quite relaxing, don't you find?
2
Eeh by gum, that were a right rant there lad. Tis pity thou were't talkin bollocks! That'll larn 'im!
2
That'll learn 'em!
2
They love being patted on their sweet little heads. Teacher's pets!
2
@MrsGardiner Inciting racial hatred is different to making people aware of the dangers involved in allowing unrestricted immigration to this country. None of these people you condemn castigate individual immigrants because of their race, simply because of their presence. Do you get it now?
2
@errorswillmultiply1697 How about Option C - stay and join the revolution?
2
@errorswillmultiply1697 I don't accept your hypothetical situation. Hence option C.
2
@aaronaaronson7600 Why not? He talks quite a lot of sense from time to time and criticising him for his use of language does rather reveal a certain lack of genuine political response.
1
@thenorfolkst Mmm. Perhaps rural then? It certainly doesn't merit the ghastly middle-class response shown here. But then Labour is so ghastly middle class these days.
1
@davidcolin6519 My father was a housepainter. I had the misfortune to gain a scholarship to a minor public school and I married a countess. I am currently re-reading "The Ragged Trousered Philanthropists" which certainly puts the current state of the Labour Party into an interesting perspective, and probably occasioned the remark to which you seem to take exception. Does this help at all?
1
@thenorfolkst On the contrary, this thread has been quite stimulating.
1
Amused contempt is even harder.
1
@emm_arr It's called dialectical materialism.
1
@rocketscience4516 God, I wish I was! Money with a free conscience! Who can say that in this day and age?
1
@rocketscience4516 Modesty forbids. It you were to act on my behalf however, we could go halves. How does that sound?
1
@emm_arr Are you an American and thus immune to irony and satire?
1
@emm_arr Have you ever had an intelligent thought in your entire life? Asking for a friend.
1
@jeremysmith54565 How can one be vague and coherent at the same time?
1
@jeremysmith54565 Yes. Typo. It would have been a better word.
1
@Chris-nv4cu It was a sort of joke. Either it wasn't a very good one or you don't have a sense of humour.
1
@jeremysmith54565 Pot. Kettle. Black.
1
@jeremysmith54565 Can you be vaguely vague? I suppose so.
1
@nigelsynnott7344 Inadequately restricted then. Will that do?
1
@jeremysmith54565 I think we have to draw a line between an instinctive, visceral dislike of people from other races and the considered view that too much immigration is bad for the country. We have moved on from the days of the National Front, I think. Such people are very much in a minority, even among those you might consider "far right."
1
@nigelsynnott7344 I think an immigrant should first have to prove they have a job to go to, and their history should be thoroughly investigated to ensure they present no threat to the well-being of the community. That shouldn't be too hard, surely? We actually have no idea of the size of the UK population at present. It is certainly very much larger than the official estimate, I'm sure. Services and standards are collapsing and it is this excess population which is the cause. I also have cultural objections in that I am genuinely concerned about the spread of Islam. I do not wish to see my grandchildren or perhaps greatgrandchildren forced into adhering to this religion, and at the current rate of its increase that is a very real possibility.
1
@nigelsynnott7344 1) My horse and cart are in the right order. In this day and age it is quite easy to advertise and apply for jobs via the Internet. Anyone arriving on these shores should be detained at point of entry and be required to offer proof of either a job or an interview. 2) As far as population size is concerned I can only cite surveys carried out by supermarket chains based upon consumption which put the population at around a third greater than the official figures. Also Google Earth shows areas in large cities where in immigrant areas back gardens are replaced by buildings used for habitation. Even if these two indications are suspect the fact that it is so difficult to get a GP appointment, that services of all kinds face huge queues and even that the sewage systems are failing show that population size is greater than that planned for. 3)Islam is a proselytizing religion committed to imposing itself wherever it finds itself. There are tried and tested techniques for this which have enabled Islam to be established as a governing force, There is no need for warfare or for forced conversions in the early stages of this process. A gradual takeover of social and governmental structures and the imposition of Shariah law are sufficient. It is a process which can take several generations to complete but once begun it is practically impossible to prevent. It has already begun in this country with seats on local authorities being won on religious grounds and police and service providers welcoming input from Moslem leaders because it makes their jobs so much easier.
1
@nigelsynnott7344 Sadly YouTube has deleted my detailed reply. This issue is a bit of a minefield. All I can say is that other countries deal with this issue at the border and that technology now allows us to advertise and apply for jobs internationally. Islam is a proselytizing religion which has established techniques for its gradual imposition. Forced conversion is not necessary in the early stages. It succeeds by using its power over individuals to ally itself with authority. It is a process which takes several generations and it has already begun in this country. Christian churches fulfilled this function once, but that religion having declined Islam is taking its place. As to population figures I can only cite surveys carried out by supermarket companies which indicate very strongly that the population is far greater than that which is claimed. Observation does add to the suspicion by the very fact that so many of our services are overstretched to breaking point, making it clear that the number of people taking advantage of them is far greater than was planned for.
1
@nigelsynnott7344 I've had several goes at answering your points but the new fascist YouTube algorithm will not let me. What a world we live in.
1
@nigelsynnott7344 I've had three goes, but YouTube's misinformation is obviously not my misinformation, and in a complex issue such as this it is very difficult not to trigger the beast with one false step. In the past I've tried to get round this by breaking up a detailed reply into sections, and I may try this with you. So be prepared for a series of little posts rather than one long one! (Tenuous grasp on reality? So that's what they're calling opposing views now, is it?)
1
@nigelsynnott7344 If it is true that no employer can legally employ someone without a right to stay then that really is putting the cart before the horse, and the law should be changed. In other countries a firm offer of a job is a prerequisite of the right to stay - which is how it should be.
1
@nigelsynnott7344 Several supermarket companies have attempted to assess the UK's population size for commercial reasons, basing their research on consumption. The results of these surveys have shown that the population size is much greater than the official estimate. (2)
1
@nigelsynnott7344 Google Earth shows extensive areas on British cities largely occupied by immigrants to have dwellings built in their back gardens, quite often a ramshackle manner. Shipping containers are far from unknown. (3)
1
@nigelsynnott7344 The NHS and many other services are breaking under the strain. It is quite clear that the size of the present population is far greater than that anticipated in planning for the future. (4)
1
@nigelsynnott7344 Islam is a proselytizing religion which brooks no rivals. War and forced conversions are not needed for a long term strategy, the details of which are clearly explained in several sutras. (5)
1
@nigelsynnott7344 Techniques include occupying positions in local government, and forming close alliance with local administrators by offering package deals in terms of behaviour control.
1
@nigelsynnott7344 The police find alliances with Islamic community leaders very useful in exercising control over crime. This leads to Muslims becoming a privileged community - two tier policing.
1
@nigelsynnott7344 See answer above to your 6% . No-one has any real idea of the percentage of Muslims living in this country, or at what rate it is increasing. Birth rates however suggest that it will increase far more rapidly than other communities.
1
@nigelsynnott7344 The virtual collapse of Christianity in this country allows Islam the opportunity to take its place. Not only are churches being converted to mosques, but populations controlled into obedience by the fear of hell and the promise of paradise are very useful to the ruling classes and their agents. Islamification will become increasingly welcomed because of this, and acceptance of Shariah law into the system of jurisprudence will become a reality.
1
@nigelsynnott7344 I see that just two of my seven points have been accepted by YouTube. This is utterly ridiculous and I am tempted to give up, I'm afraid.
1
@nigelsynnott7344 Christianity is a religion dedicated to replacing all other religions. It is extremely useful in providing the authorities with a subdued population, whose behaviour is governed by the fear of hell and the promise of heaven. Its ministers are feared an respected and thus are able to form close relationships with bodies such as the police and local authorities. This greatly helps Christianity to become the official religion of the state and gradually introduce its precepts into the law of the land.
1
@nigelsynnott7344 Keep plugging on. History shows that a strong relationship between church and state is beneficial to both. Populations controlled by a fear of damnation and the promise of paradise are readily controlled. Priests who continually emphasise this message can come to hold strong positions in the administration.
1
@nigelsynnott7344 The virtual collapse of Christian belief in Britain has left a vacuum.
1
@nigelsynnott7344 There are several Islamic sutras which explain how the religion may be promulgated and expanded in a non Islamic environment, and it is the duty of a true Moslem to do this.
1
@nigelsynnott7344 Forced conversion is not necessary. By taking control of various aspects of everyday life and providing clear benefits to Muslims, non-Muslims can be readily persuaded to follow the true path. Eventually Islam become the predominant organ of organisation is a community and those who choose not to join it can be ostracised and fined.
1
@nigelsynnott7344 Are we at cross purposes? I am saying that proof of likely employment must come before residential status can be granted, as is the case in many countries but - according to you - not here. The effect on wages is another matter entirely. If wage levels need to be legally protected, then let it be so. At the moment we have a huge number of people floating about the county, being supported to the tune of more than £2billion a year, and yet prevented from entering gainful employment. This simply cannot be right.
1
@nigelsynnott7344 I think the idea of a native British family building a shack for granny in the back garden of a Pakistani household is going a bit far, don't you think?
1
@nigelsynnott7344 It is relevant to the spread of Islam.
1
@nigelsynnott7344 Christian proselytizing seems to have had its day, so my point is that Islamic proselytizing - which is far more effective and subtle - is replacing it. Christianity was a pillar of empire, don't forget. If a new and larger globalist empire is to be built having a religion which enables you to control behaviour very effectively will be very useful.
1
@nigelsynnott7344 Christianity as an agent of imperialism is a spent force. The other one isn't and is far better and spreading its message and controlling the behaviour of populations. A tremendous asset to effective governance, and increasingly welcomed. (4th go at this one. My posts are getting shot down faster than drones over Kiev.)
1
@nigelsynnott7344 Try No 4 Exactly what Christian missionaries did and some still do. Your point is?...... My point is that the link between Christianity and government is now broken. Islam, as it grows in strength, will become an increasing political force. This is already becoming apparent in the number of Moslems elected to local authorities and to the close relationships which develop between Muslim "community leaders" and agencies such as the police. Muslim leaders are able to control their communities through religion in ways which Christianity no longer can. This makes the spread of Islam very convenient for the process of governance and it is therefore welcomed and encouraged.
1
@nigelsynnott7344 Your assumption that these extensions are for grannies is, once again, taking things a bit far. These are shanty towns, more or less, filled with persons of all ages, generally from the same communities. The shipping containers appear to be sweatshops for clothing manufacture. This situation has already been exposed in Leicester but it is certainly prevalent in other cities with large immigrant ghettoes.
1
@nigelsynnott7344 Fair enough. My replies are still getting shot down like drones over Kiev, by the way.
1
@nigelsynnott7344 I think the point about local councillors is that they being elected as representatives of Islam, not as representatives if whichever political party they choose. This is not true of MPs as a general rule. They are only incidentally Muslim.
1
@nigelsynnott7344 I'm not dancing around. I'm just trying to shape my replies to escape the blind idiocy of the YouTube algorithm.
1
@nigelsynnott7344 Awful lot of Pakistani grannies then. As to cultural identity of neighbourhoods, there is no doubt of this. Some quite large areas of Leicester, Manchester, Birmingham etc are almost100% Muslim now.
1
@nigelsynnott7344 I directed your attention to surveys carried out by supermarkets which used extrapolations of sales figures to conclude that the UK population is far greater than official estimates. It was up for a while, but now appears to have been removed.
1
@nigelsynnott7344 I simply do not understand the criteria employed. I think the algorithm has a list of heresies which it will not allow. All my replies to you have been respectful and reasonable but certain juxtapositions of words appear to trigger rejection. Irony is beyond the algorithm. It really is like some primitive robot as featured in early SciFi which logically and reasonably destroys the world.
1
@nigelsynnott7344 I don't think many MPs have been elected on a pro-Hamas platform. Several local councillors have. I can only refer for you to my earlier posts concerning community coercion. In Ireland until comparatively recently politics was divided on religious terms. The same is now happening in Britain as a whole. You don't need "verifiable data" to conclude that in a pretty exclusively Muslim area a Muslim councillor will be elected and it will be the religious leaders who will indicate which Muslim should be elected, not the officials of any political party. Islam is a political religion with clearly defined political objectives and is almost unique in this respect.
1
@errorswillmultiply1697 Perhaps neither is cowardly. Perhaps both are. But I refuse to allow you to bully me into filling in your form. You have done this before. Do you make up forms for a living by any chance?
1
@errorswillmultiply1697 Gosh. Are you actually a bot??You sound like one.
1
@errorswillmultiply1697 I think you do yourself an injustice. Attempting to force others into making moral decisions based on your own precepts is a somewhat more advanced function than the equipment you describe would perhaps be capable of.
1
@errorswillmultiply1697 How on earth do you make that out? I asked a straight question. You, on the other hand, insist on restricting the argument by offering two options and nothing else.
1
@errorswillmultiply1697 I didn't offer one option at all. I asked a straight question. I don't need a book on formal logic to define what a straight question is. It's a question which invites an answer. And you haven't.
