Housing and feeding immigrants and weapons for Ukraine.

Where do the working class get their money from in the first place?

@ I am not a Tory, just a realist. The data says we are spending enough on Ukraine to halve our "black hole" and that the economic downside of excess immigration far outweigh any benefits.
2
@ But who actually SUPPLIES the money? And how would they organise themselves to earn it without a CEO and his/her staff?
1
@ Some or all of the above, I imagine. And it passes through their hands in the form of wages and investments, to those people who do not create wealth, but merely assist in its distribution.
1
@Fossil_Frank Then why do businesses, government departments and local authorities waste money on employing them?
1
@markhackett2302 Who supplies the customer with money? And how do the workers organise themselves and seek out markets and suppliers of raw materials? And how is this procedure administered?

@Fossil_Frank I agree that the system is far from ideal and, human nature being what it is, frequently corrupt. But is difficult to see what can efficiently replace it. Even under socialism the same system quite rapidly wriggles back into place with senior positions being awarded to the "political allies or whistleblowers" as you rightly say. It is simply part of the human condition that a pyramidical structure seems inevitable in any form of governance and it is foolish to blame those who evolve to the top layers of the pyramid for the pyramid's collapse. It is equally pointless to be jealous of the benefits they obtain from their position.

@Fossil_Frank It is purely a question of degree, and that degree differs largely due to cultural differences and accidents of history. What one culture considers a crime may be quite acceptable behaviour in another culture. A puritanical crusade to combat what one section of society considers to be criminal behaviour may end up being counter-productive if that behaviour is essential to stability. The wheels of governance are greased in different ways across the world, but greased they always are.

@LeafHuntress Working co-ops invariably disintegrate once the workforce exceeds a certain number - usually no more than a couple of dozen at most. People actually need leaders. They may not necessarily be good people - or even good leaders - but without a focus of some sort any organisational structure will invariably collapse into chaos and anarchy. History proves this. It may be an uncomfortable truth - but it is a truth nonetheless.

@Fossil_Frank Belarus is a good example. The country is actually not that badly run but foreign (ie American) influences create dissatisfactions. Russia will simply not allow Belarus and other satellite countries to change allegiance. We may find this reprehensible but true democracy is a state of affairs seldom reached in any country. This is especially true when it is weaponised by outside influences.

@bangbangcan2 I do check. Perhaps the things YOU believe are actually disinformation. Have you considered that as a possibility? You really ought to.
1
@bangbangcan2 I do check. Perhaps what you believe is "blatant disinformation" - have you ever considered that possibility?

The answer is that the formula is wrong. One very significant factor in the equation - the number of people whose needs must be attended to - is out by something like a third. Tory "neglect" is just piss in the wind.
