  1. When the Russians finally take Pokrovsk the situation will change radically. Trump - like anyone with any sense - realises that Putin will not stop until his forces have, at the very least, taken all of Donetsk and the fall of this key city ought to make this inevitable.

  3. @ I think this is a myth. The war in Ukraine is a border dispute over territory rich in mineral resources, that's all. The very fact that Russia is having such incredible difficulty in taking these regions proves that it is utterly incapable of large-sale expansion - and probably doesn't want or need to either.
