  7.  @LR1234-v4r  Not yet. But he's getting Zelensky to cough of some of the trillions in rare earth minerals lying around Ukraine. Tariffs are a threat strategy and little more. Trump just beefs them up to make the threat more effective.

  8. @ I have done. The tariff threats have forced Mexico and Canada to immediately implement strategies which were mainly purely at the discussion stage. Without those threats we'd still be faffing around a year from now, if not longer.

  14. Phil is wrong to say the anti-smuggling measures were already agreed by Canada and Mexico. Talks had taken place and some measures were in the pipeline but the tariff threat has ensured their immediate implementation.
