@JA-qi1fb He was guilty of defying the court. As to the film itself, it seems probable that some of the people he interviewed exaggerated their claims about the Syrian boy and he was foolish and inexperienced enough not to check their claims thoroughly. It is quite clear though that the original incident in which the boy had water poured on his face was not racially motivated, but because he had a reputation for unacceptable behaviour. How bad that behaviour was (if at all) remains unclear.

@31Blaize He defied the law, and was punished by the law. Whether the law was right or not is another matter. I think he overstepped the mark in his film - and I think he has finally admitted it to himself - hence his guilty plea.
