@JOHN-wm2on Serious criminal reform would be a better idea - such as not hiding guns under the front seat of your car - which this guy certainly did on a previous occasion.

@JOHN-wm2on No. I just think that the police behaved entirely correctly and that this guy was so stupid, or so stoned or so angry that he brought this entirely upon himself. He could well have been going for a gun. And even if he was planning to drive off - what about his kids in the back? I simply don't understand what you mean about standards. Cop, criminal or civilian we owe it to ourselves and those around us to behave with some degree of responsibility. He didn't. The police did.

I bet these were arm and shoulder shots, intended to disable. Seven head or body shots at that range would almost certainly have killed him.
