It appears he is correct. All former Presidents remove documents for their personal libraries and to aid them in producing their memoirs. The process is administered by a government body and Trump has clearly been liasing with this body. Any breaches of protocol will br purely technical. This prosecution is an utter disgrace.

@jimschachtschneider7741 Deciding on the classification of documents is a Presidential function. America is on a slippery slope when unelected bureaucrats get to decide this - as appears to be the case here. The legislation covering the disposal of Presidential papers when a President leaves office contains no provision for criminal prosecution. This why Trump's enemies have been reduced to citing the 1917 Espionage Act in their latest bid to do him down I have read the indictment. It is a disgrace to the legal profession and the whole concept of justice.
