  3. It's odd how states with the highest vaccination rates have the highest rates of infection right now though. It's also odd how the CDC reports that in America hospitalisations and deaths are much higher among the vaccinated, whereas in most European countries it's the other way around. Must be doing something right I guess.

Daily numbers do vary, because the day is the day they were reported which is why you take an average. In the UK, according to official figures, more than 65% of patients in Intensive Care Units are fully vaccinated, as are almost 90% of those who die. The percentages are even higher in some European countries. I doubt the situation in the US is much different. Currently states with low vaccination rates (many of which are indeed Republican) are experiencing sharp declines in infections and deaths. States with high vaccination rates are not. This doesn't mean vaccines are useless. It just means there comes a point when their usefulness is very limited.

In the UK, according to its Office of National Statistics, more than 65% of patients in Intensive Care Units with covid are fully vaccinated as are over 85% of those who die. The proportions are higher in some European countries. This doesn't mean vaccines don't work, it just means there comes a point where they outlive their usefulness.
