Dunno about jail time. Information obtained this way cannot be used in a criminal proceeding. At the most Trump might be required to hand over the golf courses to the state - which since they are losing money he might be quite happy to do.

@johnhorter1859 Information obtained through one of these orders cannot be used in criminal proceedings. If the Scottish legislature is stupid enough to go down this route Trump will either block them in the courts until their hair and teeth fall out or stand back while they relieve him of the financially useless golf courses. He doesn't even HAVE to tell them where the money came from.

@johnhorter1859 I'm a great fan of Trump as it happens. His pragmatism was genuinely putting the US back on its feet again. I'm still astounded by how much people are still brainwashed into the Orang Man Bad thing. Even if he is a crook, he's a crook in the private sector - not like Biden who definitely IS a crook and he's been using his position and tax dollars to be a crook for more than 40 years.

@jimmcloughlin Trump will be dead and Sturgeon in an old folks home before anything can get to court. And what is there to go to court anyway? There are umpteen different ways in which Trump can refuse to hand over documents and at the end of the day all that can be done is that he might lose the golf courses. Which are losing money anyway.

@equalityforall8418 Do you never EVER get tired of hearing all these things that are going to happen to Trump, or all the things that Trump has DONE and yet none of it ever actually happens or turns out to be true? Don't you ever get the tiniest bit suspicious - after the first two or three years, say - that you are being conned and that this is because you are quite exceptionally stupid?

@melissahoneybee8493 None of this matters. In his career as a properiy developers Trump must have infringed the law many times; but this is as a private individual. Politicians also invariably break the law, but this is within a political framework and it simply results in a system of alliances and betrayals. Trump is not part of this scheme, and cannot be controlled by it - which is why he is so hated and feared by the political establishment.

But evidence obtained cannot be used in criminal proceedings, I believe. At worst Trump could lose the golf courses, which since they are a drain on his resources he might quite welcome! Not that it will ever come to that - unless Trump wants it to.
