I think it's a mistake to say Russia is specifically targeting civilians. They don't want dead civilians, they want angry, discontented civilians beginning to worry that their leadership has taken a series of very poor decisions. Which they have. Shivering in the dark and cold and being afraid to go out to work or the shops might bring this fact home to them.

@firebladedan1 The wrong decision is allowing yourself to be bribed into picking a fight with a powerful neighbour.

@gteixeira They are not being aimed at residential buildings. They are being aimed at power stations and the like. Sometimes they miss, however, or are shot down by idiots and land on civilians.

@janb3625 It isn't my villainy. My only concern is to support practical solutions which acknowledge the realities of the situation, and which will hopefully bring an end to the war. These attacks will severely disadvantage the Ukrainian military and, as a bonus, may possibly cause ordinary Ukrainians to question the motives and capabilities of their current leaders.
