I even believe that Harvey Weinstein should not have been given a sentence like he got. Casting couch and females doing whatever to get to the top happens in all walks of life. If you as a female had a choice (which is wrong) to climb the ladder or get a big movie role by doing such things, they had/have a choice to say no. Saying yes does not exonerate them. They play a part and have the option. Yes that sort of behaviour should be stopped, but you are not going to stop Brenda from saying yes in the future so she can get a senior management position in a big company. It will never stop.

Acquittal is a not guilty verdict. If it went to trial then the outcome would be a not guilty verdict, and if it was guilty it would be only because of a biased jury.

@edweard well he said acquittal is not a not guilty verdict. It is though. It gets acquitted because if it went on it would end up as a not guilty verdict anyway. That is why they end the trial early to save it from that obvious verdict and save any more costs. If they had carried on with the trial with the complainant’s evidence being withdrawn what do you think the jury’s verdict would be? Not guilty obviously, so he was not guilty. Not hard to work out is it?
