But if it isn’t foolproof then that must mean there could be doubt that you did it and you shouldn’t be behind bars. That is why it was abolished in the first place. There might be a 99.99% certainty that I murdered somebody which isn’t foolproof. I would be sentenced to life but it comes about that it was somebody else and I was wrongly convicted. I now get out and compensated wheras if a noose had been put around my neck I would be dead. There would be an element of doubt so I shouldn’t be there in the first place.
