It is around 400ppm and the greenhouses pump up to 1,000ppm in the morning for optimal growth. The levels 2000 years ago were very low even though we had that 500 year period of 2’c warmer than today. It shows that the Earth system is far more complicated than just what co2 does. Obviously if the population keeps growing and more third world countries industrialise, then it will keep rising. The good thing this whole thing is doing is pushing innovation which is not a bad thing. What we don’t want is this push into totalitarianism. In 100 years all the solutions will be found but at what cost? Freedom or a nightmare to live under.

pauls464 well no. Look at all the battery tech that is going on. Some os probably a waste and some isn’t. War generates innovation and the best bits come out into the civilian arena. I think you are just being negative. What innovation do you think it should be going into? You do not know because it has not been invented yet. Everything that we already have is always being upgraded or bettered either by some new found technology, substance or way of working. Innovation is innovation. I can now get on my bike and my battery can push me around for 100 miles before it runs down. In the 1990’s I had a delivery at Clive Sinclair’s head office in London and he had this bike on show that had this flap that you locked down onto the back wheel which had a motor and belt that engaged the tyre. The battery was crude and lasted about 4 miles. Now look. You think that is the wrong way? Please tell me of your inventions for the betterment of mankind.
