So what. Without gambling life becomes that bit more boring for most that do. Maybe some people think being square and boring is a great life but most do not. Isn’t paying £150 to go and watch your sports team gambling putting that money into the pockets of the few? You might call that entertainment but it is just the same. If somebody went into a casino once a week with £150 and at the end of the year you look who has spent more money. The person who goes to the sports venue loses £10,000 after entry, food, drink and travel. The person who goes and gambles will lose less than half of that because they sometimes walk out a winner. Both are entertainment and both take your money. If you are poor and have hardly no income your life will be crap no matter whether you gamble or not. If you are well off and you lose everything like your house, wife and job then more fool them.
