There is fighting and having a chance or staying and not surviving. Good on them for getting up and retreating. I mean it isn’t exactly as if Britain was getting invaded by Iran. Russia are their own kin really and nothing would change for the worse if Russia put in a friendly president. It would just mean the west have nowhere to wash the billions that go through the country.
