So basically you have to save about 23% of your salary after tax for your whole life. Just Imagine that as you get to retirement age you expire from an illness. Do you really need tons of money when you are older? Save 10% and have enough to live and maybe a nice vacation once a year. As long as you have a roof over your head, a nice family and plenty of good food and drink, then that is all you need. No but 3 Vacations and 2 fancy restaurants and 2 top of the range cars etc.
