This world is insignificant in the big scheme of things. There are probably countless oasis’s in the universe without intelligent life, but full of wildlife out there. A meteor hits and it is all gone. What are we going to blame a lump of space rock for destroying one of those oasis’s? We are just a space rock but in slow motion. It matters not.

When there is tectonic shifting, why do none of these submerged oil fields rupture causing a massive catastrophe? Surely that would be a thing and would release so much oil in one fail swoop that it could spell a worldwide cataclysm. It seems logical that this would or already should of happened at some point.

Put Earth in Venus’s orbit and see how long it takes to change. The oceans will evaporate and make so much cloud cover that the greenhouse effect it will cause would be the death knell for it.

@cheafchecker72 No it won’t. Stop listening to scaremongers. The world is on a trajectory now that in 100 years there will be no need for oil like now. What pollutants we will create will be dealt with. It can’t be done overnight nor will we boil. Stop being so dramatic because you sound like a cultist that is unable to think for themselves.

When you get to my age over 50, you see so many variations of the same videos. Life gets stale because stuff like this never changes. I used to love wildlife programs with David Attenborough when I was a child and early adulthood. Now they are pretty boring also. Man will get to a point where there isn’t much more to learn and that is a sad thought.
