Lets say we were back then and I was 52 like now. If I was on a triple A battery I would have made it an art knowing how far forward to aim so my ordinance met the planes. It is unbelievable they put substandard trained guys on them things. Were people that less educated then? At 52 I would make a good go of it. Once you knew your gun then I’m sure you could have got good at aiming and guessing the altitude.
