She was denied an appeal which means the real fault will be kept concealed. The higher ups need their lucrative standing in life protected.

So you have a failure of care most probably the fault of one or more of the consultants (protected species) who would stand to lose everything and their reputation. Easier to blame a lowly nurse. The thing is the heat is now off even if she does get let free. You see these people have lucrative lives and standings that must never be taken away from them. It is a class thing as per usual. The sad thing is that they will never be held accountable for it now, whereas at the start they would have been if the blame could not have been diverted in some way or another. The one statistic that stands out above all others is that when she was not on shift, there was still an excess of babies that perished, which coincidentally in that small time period would be very unlikely to have happened. The odds would be astronomical leaving the conclusion that there had to be two of them at it. That would be far fetched to say the least and when you look at the simplest explanation, it shows it was a lack of care caused by bad orders coming from the people who are meant to be the top professionals.

@Ianjdgale No he wasn’t. Chimpinvestor did all the stats far before Simon even realised what was going on.

It is a class thing. The consultants are likely to be the ones who made bad decisions and gave the wrong orders. They are a protected species like anybody at the top of the social tree. They stand to lose everything and their reputations. That can’t be seen to happen and at all costs a way of diverting attention away from them is a must. The sad thing is the jury obviously were not bright enough to read the statistics in a logical manner. There was an excess of babies even when she was not on shift, so how could that be? There was either another person at it or a lack of duty of care from the higher ups. The only conclusion is there was no evil nurse or two, but incompetence that has been covered up to save yet again those that are above the law.
