Yes arrears is paid and you are up to date when that payment comes in, otherwise they would have to pay daily. Would you pay somebody a months wages before they worked? They would take the money and run. Now let us say you kick the bucket two weeks into your arrears. The question is do the DWP honour that 2 weeks you were owed so the family can put it towards your funeral costs or not? That is when questions can be asked and if it is immoral.
