  1. Imagine donating $50k only for $46k+ to be eaten up in admin costs and giving the CEO of OXFAM a very nice well overpaid job. People are mad to give money to mainstream charities. If you do give money away, give it to small independent charities. For instance you might have someone a few streets away that look after stray cats and dogs that need rehoming. What better to give people like that the well needed funds that you know all your money is going to be spent on. Not just 2-3% of it.
