I went out with a nurse who worked in one of two geriatric wards. She was good at her job. I was working part time in the hospital for a communications company and one day I went into the other geriatric ward, and two young nurses were being horrible to one of the elderly patients. When they walked outside of the room they were laughing and joking about the patient. I nearly reported them but it really wasn’t my place, but now I feel I did the wrong thing by keeping quiet. They were being horrible for their own amusement but it wasn’t serious abuse. It just now looking back what it could have become left unchecked.
