  1. I've kept quiet for YEARS about this. I always hated this kind of "female empowerment", bc it's the spitting image of what the patriarchy wants us to be: sex objects. There's a rapper in my country, Italy, his name is Willie Peyote, he recently got some slander for a line in a song of his that goes "I don't get how twerking should help us fighting the patriarchy" and I stand by that. I'm happy that, as per usual, after some time ppl are starting finally seeing the situation from another perspective. Maybe I won't be labeled as a conservative anti-femminist anymore now when I say that this portrayal of women isn't empowering at all.
