For openers, there is no grave to be robbed. And time team are always respectful of human remains. By digging, we may learn about our history, our past. I prefer not to remain ignorant.

Always a pleasure to watch a program with Alice Roberts. She brings it to life, with her passionate and enthusiasm.

I have read about this, I think that various religious authorities wouldn’t want this known. The myth is, Jesus went to heaven, being raised up bodily. I am disappointed that Simcha Jacobavici, who was a major figure in the discovery of the ossuaries, and who wrote a book about it. He is a Canadian archaeologist, from Toronto.

Any archaeology is fascinating and helps us understand our forebears and what the land was like centuries ago.

As to whether Jesus was married to Mary Magdalene, the early church leaders would not have wanted to have Jesus “sullied” by being married, and having a son. However, gospels that were left out showed that Jesus held Mary Magdalene in high regard. And supposedly kissed her, which upset the disciples. The Gospel of Mary was left out of the New Testament. The fact that the Christian church has been adamant that Jesus and his disciples were single, they weren’t married, is disproved by the fact the NT says that the disciples met in the house of Peter’s MOTHER IN LAW. So he must have had a wife!
