  1. Such an enduring mystery! My great great uncle, Edward Watkins, found one of the victims. He was a policeman and was in Mitre Square the night Catherine Eddowes body was found. Some family lore. I live in Canada, up my father’s mother was from East London. And it was her uncle that was Edward Watkins.
