  3. End of the Monarchy? I don’t think so. We live in very unsettled times, change happening on every side, quickly, disconcertingly. The Monarchy are a stable institution which has been around 1000 years. They offer continuity, warmth, a sense of stability in these uncertain times. The pageantry is comforting too. 🇨🇦

  7. I think it’s too easy to say it was greed, etc. He went on it himself, was so confident of the security of his machine. That was the tragic flaw, that he felt so much hubris, that he would step onto the sub without reservation. He didn’t anticipate the outcome.

  25. Despite all the stuff about “wanting to live private lives”, they really NEED the titles to get attention, and that is what they crave. All the BS about wanting to be private…..is just that, they are “special” bc of the titles, so don’t want to relinquish them. And all that todo about his drug taking, hasn’t gone away, surely? That would definitely can any plans to be an American citizen, I would think!
