  1. This is a foreign policy win and most realists would agree. Unfortunately foreign policy doesn't matter when most realists also agree the economy is headed off a cliff unless we can control spending, and we clearly can't. The reason inflation becomes hyper in the first place is because if they could slow down the corruption and over spending we wouldn't be here in the first place. The idea that they're going to turn it around as the problem becomes more severe is ridiculous. If that were true then there would've been change by now.

  2. They sell products to the west. They have hitched their economy to ours. They do not have buyers. They can avoid catastrophe perhaps but not economic slump, if the US tanks. Which it willl.
