@jimmyreyes661 I know isn't it great? Although you're dramatizing the story in a way that makes it less interesting. He didn't die. He was knocked out and carried out seemingly unconscious. The guy who did it survived a censure thingy, then resigned, then was immediately reelected. And in the end nothing happened because both men became political heroes in their respective states. Because they were most likely both your average grifter politicians. Also, you know, civil war times a-coming.

@somebody700 The voters did get a choice. Whatever old man was in their seat before them, was voted out and these were the people that were chosen to replace them. They're fresh young candidates in congressional terms. And their districts clearly have a vaginismus problem. You can say they turned around and sold out the country but that just means their gimmick (being superficial and aggressive) is obviously what those people with the actual power know dumb, specific type of voters, will go for.

Nothing important is happening in there. If someone is speaking truth you hear it in the town square not in a fucking congressional hearing. They have and always will be useless shitshows. Imagine the scientific and investigative p4ocesses and then imagine letting elderly r*s setup the witnesses.
